Yesterday was the last studio-work-day in a while, due to the Mrs leaving for Berlin next week to mix her new album. She'll be gone for a little over two weeks, and since Bess ain't quite ready to conform to the zen-like conditions we consider us proud of maintaining over at Matching Head studios – I'll be staying home with her all day. Hopefully getting some work done, writing the last few lyrics and recording demo versions of a few new songs I have yet to complete.
So far – we have three songs finished; Odessa, So Demure and Trust Falls. Three more are in the pipelines, having recorded drums for all of 'em and a fraction of the guitars and vocals. So, hopefully by the end of October I'll have 'em wrapped up as well. But who knows … some days our pace is pretty fucking far from "light speed", some days proper at best. And since we only record three days a week, from 09:00 to 17:00 things tend to take a while.
Anywhoo … I'll be leaving you today with two nice pictures some of the bizarre shit I encounter everyday on my way to the studio. And also a nice new clip of Pontus proving yet again how to beat those drums to a bloody pulp!
Have a weekend to remember – and please listen to Tea Merchants by Rachel's!
